A New Stage for the NIGHTLIFE MTL iPhone Application!

Launched in December 2010, the NIGHTLIFE Montreal iPhone application is becoming NIGHTLIFE MTL today. This new version includes modifications that optimize navigation and welcomes Bud Light, who joins the STM as a major partner of the application. From now on, Bud Light will also supply users with information about outings and cultural activities in Montreal. The Newad Publishing team is taking advantage of the application’s new identity to improve its content and offer more features. The goal? To continue being the ultimate reference for “what to do and where to go” in Montreal.
 
“The iPhone application provides access to a full calendar of outings and cultural activities near your current location, at any time of the day or night. It is coupled with a geo-localization tool connected to a directory that includes 6,000 establishments – mainly bars, restaurants, theaters, galleries and museums” says Martine Desjardins, Executive Vice President of Publishing & Content at Newad.
 
“We are very excited about this new partnership with Bud Light because it promotes the development of new content, all sponsored by the brand. Bud Light is not just an advertiser, but a community partner. The alert component is also another opportunity for sponsors to promote their brand and offer added value to this community’s lifestyle,” she adds.
 
Recall that the STM provides users with itineraries that permit them to identify the quickest way to reach their destination by displaying maps, routes and times of the next buses and metros.
 
Awarded at the Grands Prix 2011 de Magazines du Québec
Newad Publishing just won the Grand Prize for Innovation at the Grands Prix 2011 de Magazines du Québec for its NIGHTLIFE MTL iPhone application. The app was downloaded over 14,000 times in less than 6 months. The new version of the free app was developed by Newad Web, and includes a series of changes that optimize navigation and the speed of the application.
