NIGHTLIFE.CA Launches the Nightlife Noise 5 Compilation

Today, Nightlife.ca, in collaboration with Rogers, is launching the 5th edition of its popular music compilation, NIGHTLIFE NOISE. Established and emerging artists are featured on this compilation, launching tonight during the San Fernando soirée, the night’s theme for the annual Nightlife.ca party. Over 1000 people are expected to attend the event, starting at 6pm at the SAT (1195 St-Laurent blvd).
NIGHTLIFE NOISE 5
The NIGHTLIFE NOISE compilation is a must for those looking to discover new talents from the music scene. To highlight the fifth edition, Nightlife.ca brought in special guests to collaborate on the compilation. Cœur de pirate, Radio Radio and Bernard Adamus – well known by the public – are not only part of the compilation but also participated in the music selection. As a matter of fact, they each suggested an artist or a group to add to the selection. Coeur de pirate presents Chinatown, Radio Radio is introducing Nom de plume (solo project of band member, Alexandre Bilodeau) and Bernard Adamus suggests Les Frères Goyette.
Also lending support, crowd pleaser Champion can be heard on the compilation. Others participating include Silly Kissers, Lunice, Hovatron, Cougarettes and Random Recipe. This blend of electro, hip hop, francophone music, folk and techno guitar beats, reflects the tastes of Montrealers aged 18-34 years, 160,000 of which regularly consult Nightlife.ca’s website and magazine for all things Montreal.
Since 2005, artists such as Malajube, Patrick Watson, Chromeo, Socalled, Beast, #numéro, Handsome Furs, Poirier, The Dears, We are Wolves and Omnikrom have taken part in previous editions of NIGHTLIFE NOISE.
ROGERS AMPLIFIES NIGHTLIFE NOISE 5
New this year, NIGHTLIFE NOISE 5 is available solely online. Thanks to Rogers, starting today people are able to download the compilation as well as the album cover on Nightlife.ca and tamusik.ca. Furthermore, bonus songs by DID and GIRL are offered by exclusivity to Rogers subscribers who can download their compilation on tamusik.ca. Rogers will also be present at the San Fernando party and will be hosting a lounge space where there will be a special activity, allowing guests to win an array of gifts.
SAN FERNANDO - ANNUAL NIGHTLIFE.CA PARTY
For the past five years, Nightlife.ca has organized a thematic party for readers, collaborators and partners of the magazine. With this year’s San Fernando party, Nightlife revisits the 70’s boogie nights where disco is king. Palm trees, roller girls and excess of all sorts will be on display. This evening is an opportunity to celebrate the launch of the new Nightlife.ca website and the NIGHTLIFE NOISE 5 compilation.
On deck: Djs CFCF, Roux Soundsystem and Night Trackin’ will be featuring new disco sounds and local producer Hovatron will be mixing up the evening with a bass and electro flavored set. Nightlife.ca also called upon local artists to participate in a karaoke showdown, where they will interpret classic summer anthems. Not to be missed: a special performance by Glam Gam Productions, who promises a burlesque number.
