This weekend, women in Toronto have the unique opportunity to go to Las Vegas! If they visit the Toronto Eaton Centre, they could win a trip for two to Las Vegas, simply by having their picture taken!
This Saturday and Sunday, women are invited to the Toronto Eaton’s Centre to participate in their own Las Vegas experience, complete with real Vegas Showgirls. They will visit a branded photo activation area, where they will get a digital picture taken and have their information collected through handheld data capturing devices. Participants will then receive a branded email with their photo and a link to http://www.visitlasvegas.ca/sweepstakes. Consumers will be able to enter the contest for a chance to win a trip for two to Las Vegas, including roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations for three nights and shopping gift certificates for $500.
To promote this event, starting today and running until Sunday, a team of brand ambassadors, dressed as flight attendants & pilots, will interact with women in key traffic areas of Toronto. They will be handing out promotional boarding passes inviting them to visit the booth at the Toronto Eaton Centre and driving them online for contest entry.
“One of the goals of the promotion is to remind women in Toronto that Las Vegas is the perfect one-stop destination for everything fashion,” said John Bischoff vice president of international marketing at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “Besides shopping, there are countless reasons for planning a trip to Las Vegas, from our amazing entertainment, to world-class dining, to sizzling nightlife that only Vegas delivers.”
Las Vegas is home to more than 11-million-square-feet of shopping including the recent addition of Crystals at CityCenter. Crystals is a boutique shopping center at the brand new CityCenter development that features hotel rooms, residential space and a casino. In addition, designer brands including Chanel, Dior, Manolo Blahnik, Hermes, Diane Von Furstenberg and Christian Louboutin fill the 700-plus shops at Fashion Show Mall, Wynn and Encore Esplanade, Town Square Las Vegas, Via Bellagio, Forum Shops and The Shoppes at Palazzo.
Newad conceptualized the campaign and handled the production of the branded elements. The company is also currently running the in-field executions and managing the online contest.
