Michael Reha, President and CEO of Newad, is pleased to announce that three people were appointed to key positions in senior management. Jerrid Grimm, based in Newad’s Vancouver office, has been appointed Vice President & Regional General Manager - Western Canada; Martine Desjardins was named Executive Vice President, Publishing & Content; and Jean-François Grenache is now Chief Financial Officer.
Jerrid Grimm has worked at Newad in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver – markets that have been part of Newad’s advertising network since its inception 15 years ago. His new responsibilities, including Client Relations, Regional Direction of Western Canada, and his role as Vice President, confirm his expertise and Newad’s willingness to encourage his growth within the company.
“Jerrid Grimm was an ideal choice for the position. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of the Western Canadian market and of Newad’s diverse offering in Indoor Advertising, Experiential Marketing, Web, and Publishing. Jerrid Grimm has extensive experience, excellent management skills, and is recognized in Western Canadian business circles,” says Michael Reha.
Martine Desjardins, already a publisher for the NIGHTLIFE.CA magazine and website, is now also responsible for the strategic management of all content involved in magazine, online, and advertising publishing. She will also oversee the company’s legal records as Chief Legal Officer.
“As Newad continues its development by integrating new services into its offering, it is essential to manage and monitor content so that it is consistent across all channels. Martine Desjardins can successfully perform the tasks associated with that responsibility due to her extensive knowledge of our organization, her ability to evaluate trends, and her management skills,” added Michael Reha.
With his new title of Chief Financial Officer, Jean-François Grenache is responsible for all activities related to accounting and financial management of the company. He will handle the increased complexity of the financial department that accompanied the growth of the company in the last few years.
“Jean-François Grenache has been with us for 12 years, and has repeatedly proved his ability to manage files that are indispensible to Newad’s growth. His new title reflects the evolution of his responsibilities, especially when it comes to strategic planning,” confirms Michael Reha.
As Vice President, Client Relations and Regional Director of Western Canada, Jerrid oversees Nerad’s offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. After joining the company in 2004 as Account Executive in the Edmonton Office, Jerrid was quickly promoted to Sales Manager for Alberta. Soon after, he joined the Vancouver office as Director of Sales for Western Canada. Before coming to Newad, Jerrid worked for Pattison Outdoor.
Martine Desjardins was, until recently, the Publisher at Newad’s NIGHTLIFE.CA. Previously, she worked as a lawyer at Heenan Blaikie. Then specialized in commercial litigation, she represented the interests of major clients before the Highest Courts of Canada and Rogatory Comissions in many countries. Due to varied personal and professional experiences, Martine has extensive experience in management, acquisition, and the development of new projects.
After becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1994, Jean-François Grenache interned at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and worked as a controller for different SMEs, including Pajar and Astoria. Responsible for Newad’s accounting since he joined the company in 1998, Jean-François has developed his expertise within the organization.
