December 10, 2010 —

Martine Desjardins, Executive Vice President of Publishing & Content, is pleased to announce that Julie Phaneuf is appointed General Manager of Publishing & Content at Newad. In her new role, Julie will be responsible for all operations of the NIGHTLIFE.CA magazine  (40,000 copies distributed per month) and the nightlife.ca website (400,000 page views per month), including publishing content and its placement online. She will supervise Newad’s social media network, create microsites, videos, newsletters, events, and contests, and develop new methods for content distribution, similar to the new NIGHTLIFE Montreal iPhone application.

“With her solid experience in publishing, sales and management, partly acquired in one of Canada’s largest media enterprises, Julie has the knowledge and skills required to enhance publishing content, one of the key services contributing to Newad’s success. Her mastery of the web and social media is another asset that allows her to contribute to the consolidation of our position in the sector, which is currently growing at a remarquable speed,” says Martine Desjardins.
