To celebrate Rona’s 70th anniversary. 

Strategy

Newad executed a 3 hour stunt, from 6:30am to 9:30am , at

Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto. To celebrate Rona’s 70th anniversary, a team of branded ambassadors distributed shovels, brooms, rakes and recycling bins to customers on their way to   work.

A video of the event was created and is displayed on Youtube.

Some gifts were given to the morning show hosts at 102.1, who announced the event on the air and invited people to come by on

their way to work.

Result

More than 1,600 gifts were distributed in 3 hours.

The video has been viewed more than 1,650 times on Youtube.

The event generated press coverage in the magazine Infopresse

   and on the 102.1 morning show.
