Newad Calgary launches campaign to promote the Gerry Forbes Morning Show

Calgary, May 2nd, 2014 — Newad’s Indoor Advertising team in Calgary has launched a campaign aimed at promoting the Gerry Forbes Morning Show, a radio show broadcasted weekday mornings from 5 to 10 a.m. The objective of the campaign is to support CJAY 92 in its mission to reach the highly coveted Young & Affluent of the Calgary metropolitan area.

The CJAY 92 team first asked Newad to target the best establishments within its network in Calgary with a view to optimizing the promotional campaign for its morning show. “Our strategy was to accompany the CJAY 92 team by first identifying locations conducive to consolidating a certain percentage of current Gerry Forbes listeners, but also to enabling the station to acquire new listeners,” explained Ashley Templeton, Senior Account Executive, Retail and Direct Clients, Indoor Advertising at Newad.

To accomplish this, Newad identified the University of Calgary and about 15 other establishments, such as the Vagabond Brewery, Loco Lou's Grill & Bar, and the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery. Then, in addition to putting up classic indoor advertising, Newad affixed specially designed, made-to-measure stickers in certain strategic zones of the establishments, optimizing the effectiveness of the campaign in a creative and productive way. “Our indoor advertising strategies essentially rest on our expertise in advertising and in consolidating solid partnerships with establishments—establishments selected based on the quality of their visitors and the high potential of their advertising performance,” concluded Templeton.

The campaign will be displayed through June 2, 2014.
